Moving Forward
It's cook, cook, decorate and cook. For tomorrow, that is. It's the going away dinner party for Paige. Orange and white streamers, orange and white pom-poms, matching linens and paper napkins. If I had thought about it sooner I would have made food to match too! Instead, toasted ravioli, toasted bread with tomato and basil, lasagna, eggplant parmigiana and pound cake with mixed berry sauce and lemon cream. She loves Italian food, did you guess?
Getting everything together for her and Sam going back to school has kept me busy today. The countdown is also on to when I have no more kids to watch. Yes, I will be looking for a job but I am insisting to Joe that I will work hours that will allow me to be home with Sam. My mother was home with me when I was in elementary, Joe's mother was home with him when he was and if it can be managed, I will be home with Sam.

......begins! This week is the last week of me watching kids! As much as I have enjoyed MOST of them, I am looking forward to me getting my free time back. I'm definitely not going to miss the fucking Disney Channel. I am so tired of watching those cutsie little girls and boys in the same old stories with different names. And Hannah Montana? She just needs to turn 18 real quick and pose in Playboy. We all know that is where she is headed and no matter how much her daddy and Disney publically deny it, they know it to. Anyway.....the countdown is also on for Paige going to school. She wants to be picked up every weekend for now, but I know that won't last. Joe is already getting sad about it and it's going to be an adjustment for the entire family. Friday will not be the easiest of days. |
The Dark Side
Yes I have went and gone over to the Dark Side, MySpace that is. Why did I do it? Stupidity? Jumping on the bandwagon? I really don't know but I am there. Now I have to try and come up with things to post on the blog there on top of what I post here. I don't want to be repetitive but sometimes, it just may not be helped.
